I got a message sent to me from the owner thru the rider, that this summer I better not pull my shee out cause he's going to PAT the throttle on my slow ass shee crossing the finish line without using alcohol or nitro....LOL...Really LMAO now......But anyway everthing I got done to my shee is in my sig. & I was wondering what could he have done to his 4 joke to even think that the slow poke 450 will be a race? I raced him last year & everytime we raced I PAT the throttle on him crossing the finish line. I know for a fact that he got a +3mm crank, stage 1 or 2 cam, high compression piston(don't know the brand), 44mm aftermarket carbs with clear bowls, long metal tube coming from the carb with large K&N filter with outerwear & Curtis Sparks exhaust. I smoked him with all them mods, so what else can he do to his 4 joke to beat my shee. Reason I'm asking is because he sent a message saying that he's getting the motor sent to Texas & when he get's it back I better be ready. I must ride better than him then cause I smoked him last year with those mods.... I'm not the best rider in the world but I do my thing. The owner don't even race his own bike, he gets his buddy to ride it. I still kicked that 4 joke ass....lol... The 4 joke rider weighs like 165lbs. & I weigh 210lbs. Sounds good Zilla, What can I do to lighten it & what will I gain, if I get the domes cut? I forgot to say that we are both going to keep them so that we can still trail ride. 252wheelieking Posted January 28, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 28, 2011 (edited) with just domes off the shelve they are not set up for your engine. with custom cut domes, you can gain better fuel burn, which will give more power. as for lighten it, do you do the drag races at a track, or is it while trail riding? also i would suggest better suspension. also you trail ride 16/40. most be some open trails. I live in the country part of NC, so we ride in the road & wide open trails. We drag race 1/8 mile on asphalt in front of my house. Im going to get new suspension later on in the summer. Poke around on google looking for engine shop in Texas to see what they offer (and prices). As for you maybe pick up (or borrow) a set of drag pipes, slicks or tt- tires for better grip on the road. You told us that you aren't the greatest rider in the world.....which means that even if both your motors are semi close.....your not goign to be able to run him down from a shitty launch. Practice your launches......they are a HUGE part of being able to beat people who have built motors. Sometimes you get lucky and they've got a bigger motor or more power and just don't know how to launch.....makes it pretty funny when the guy braggin how strong his motor is can't win cause he can't launch... gotta_goatsfast Posted January 29, 2011 Report Share Posted January 29, 2011 I've seen some of them motors run around 55-60hp. Your motor might have closer to 60-65 if its tuned right. But, like stated before, you need a good launch. His broad powerband and better torque curve means his bike is more forgiving of "rider error". Try it though. Its just a race. I appreicate the advice but I am nice at what I do & that's riding any type of bike far as QUADS, MOTORCYCLES & DIRTBIKES. When I said I'm not the best rider in the world, I meant it as I didn't want to be BIG HEADED about my skills. I'M NICE.....racing for 23yrs. NICE......If you read the forum you would have seen that I said I beat his rider everytime we raced last year & PAT the throttle on him across the finish line. He's coming after me for his face back....IM GOOD...... To: Coupelx, Your right about losing the weight......after marriage & three kids & the extra time at the kitchen table I couldn't help it...... He could get a big-bore cylinder or sleeve the stock cylinder. Head porting, bigger valves, etc. I had a 480yfz that looked like a stock engine. Had the cylinder sleeved, head ported, cams, intake, exhaust... 12.5:1 venom piston. It was a hard runner. Put your banshee on methanol and he won't stand a chance.
