ok so i have another problem for bhq to solve so my shee when it off and in 1st gear and i pull the clucth and push it, it still turns the motor but when its runing and i pull the clucth then put it into 1st it seems to work like it should.

i think the preson i got it from put lucas motor oil cause its really think and clear and i think they might have put it in was cause of oil blow by ,would this oil make my clutch not right

and just so you know im boring the cylinders and geting new pistons

drain it and fill it with the proper fluid. to answer your question the clutches will have some drag just because of the oil. even when it's not running. try pushing it in neutral from now on lol

i just thought smoethings might be worng if i could'nt push it with the clutch pulled thanks for the reply

it might be just like an 80w gear lube that the previous owner may have put in there......either way it wont hurt to change it. And oil blow by? how does that work in a banshee

the oil in the case making its way past the piston i like to call it oil blow by

i know what actual blow-by is.....however 2-strokes should not have blow-by. Expecially the banshee motors....they do not have oil in the crank area. The only oil that they should have is in the transmission section of the cases. Are you sure your not just running rich and its the excess 2-stroke oil that your seeing? if its not then you have a leak somewhere causing the tranny oil to make it into places that it should not...

good question not sure about the leak and they said 50:1 on the two stroke oil but i havent ran it sense it seemed to be runing rich i was thinking it was just my cylinders needed to be bored which they do but .cause i thought trans oil with threw where the crank is but never seen any oil in the crank area when i pulled the motor

well your right....there isn't supposed to be any tranny oil in the crankshaft area. they are supposed to sealed totally seperate. What is to make you tihnk that there is trans fluid making it way to your cylinders?

alot of smoke for a few seconds at high rpms once in awhile and a oily spec or two but i have only took it for one ride after i got it .

but they said this bike sat for two years and not sure how much ride time they had after that.

and and also it had idle screws taped for the crabs but they were missing and it seemed to idle and run fine by ear

if your concerned about it then i would build a leak-down tester. There are instructions in the general forum. If there is a leak between the crank and trans area then a leakdown would let you know. But like camatv said......they are 2-stoke bikes....so they do burn oil in the gas causing it to smoke. you may also be jetted a little rich so it might not be totally burning all the fuel mix and that might be whats coming out of your exhuast. Either way they do burn oil and you will find oil residue on the exhaust tips and a coating on the inside of the pipes.

There is a very good chance a crank seal has let go if it sat that long. Do a leak down to be sure what it going on.

If there are holes drilled and no idle screws installed, it will suck dirt through those holes. Not good for your motor or your carbs.

Also, are the TORS tops removed? If they are and it is idling, the slides are hanging on the cables which is not good for cable life and can be dangerous.

yeah they tapped holes in the carbs but there are no idle screws but left just the tors and cut the wires that go to the tors f**cking people
