98 parts on a 87 j arm frame

What parts are you looking to change? Obviously A-arms from an A-arm frame wont bolt to a J-arm frame. Your CDIs and stators will be of different style, and I believe the hubs on the older banshees are not compatible with newer style wheels.

i have all parts from a 98 and the 87 is just the frame and j arms

Use the j arms, don't put the foot guards on and use everything else from your 98 and you will have a running bike.

i would'nt go to j arms if i had a chioce but i broke my a arm off at the frame hit a tree hard and this one was cheap and olny ten miles from home
