ElectroSport stators

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I just came across a company called ElectroSport. They seem to do a bunch of powersport related electrical items. Has anyone ever used any of their product? I'm looking for a new stator with larger than stock output for my EFI project. Thanks, Evan

never heard of them...

I would just stick with a stock one. They are more than proven, and work well.

moose is the only company with an h/o stator i haven t heard complaints about. if a company could get a 200 watt stator right they could make a mint. i just run stockers, like bigred said. most reliable.proven.

I am not positve about this, but I believe that Electrosport is the actual manufacturer of the Moose stators.

electrosports do make the moose stators. but Moose has discontinued there H/O stators. Electrosports will sell them to you though good people to talk with on the phone. they will also do the dc conversion for you just call them and let them know you want the ground floated.

Well that sounds promising. I am trying to find an option other than a RS unit since I am depending on electronics a bit more now. I know a stock RZ350 stator doesn't produce enough to keep the battery charged in my application, so I need more power. Anyways guys, thanks for the replies and I'll be giving them a ring in the morning.

I run a electrosport stator in my raptor for 2 years now. I dont have any problems.

I think the biggest problem with aftermarket stators in a banshee is the pickup coil. Since the flywheel has 2 nodes it has to signal to fire twice per rpm. In the upper rpms i think it just cant keep up. I dont need the extra watttage so I just run an oem stator. If I HAD to have the extra wattage I would try an aftermarket one OTHER than RS. If I had a high rpm miss or it ran crappy on the top end I would try to splice on a good OEM Yamaha pickup coil.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones...I haven't had any issues with my Ricky Stator 200w in the 4 years I've been running in the dunes.

I pull 160 watts worth of lights at night too!!

I've seen a couple of the ES stators and I have to say they are the brand I'd probably buy if I were in the market.

Yea RS USED to be good. Your's is probably one of the good old ones. I got my banshee 4 years ago. It had a 200w rs stator and it ran great. Then I though I would try one of there hd flywheels. It made a considerable difference. Then the RS quality set in. The flywheel sheared a rivit and took out the pickup coil. Then I went through 3 new rs stators before going to a used OEM one, and oem head lights. It wasnt worth the headache for me.

I have a bran new OEM Yamaha stator as a spare back up. That is a pricey stator at 349 each.

Well I got the new 250w Electrosport deal in the mail on Tuesday. I didn't get a chance to open it until today and I am satisfied with the quality. Justin was really helpful with me and answered all of my questions. The outputs are split over two circuits at 125 watts each. It doesn't come with a timing plate, which was no biggie so I just mounted it to my old RickyStator unit. I'll have it converted to DC by Monday and running injected by next weekend, at least that's the plan...
