I mean besides the nifty spindles which im guessing are much stronger due to the orientation of the joints, they still have banshee geometry right? The coolest thing is the way the systems is built, there is zero bind. The upper and lower heims are mounted with the ball bore horizontal, so that there is no balljoint or kingpin to limit travel. Then the spindle is mounted to the heims using two tapered roller bearings for the most supple steering you will ever feel. Most of the setups I have seen use 250r geometry on the outer spindle along with the brakes. Unfortunately, the only way this setup will bolt onto a Banshee is if you have the Leagers frame to go with it...Evan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Laegar's is about 8 doors down from my shop. They still make the pro-trax front end, and you can buy their entire frame, subframe, swinger, and pro-trax front end for like 7 grand. camatv Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 i've been wondering about this set up on a drag chassis same therory but lightweight componets i rode a 250r long long time ago with this style of front end. few years ago there were 250r's full lagerchassis's with t-pin selling for 4000 running. it made me sick. most of them got bought and parted by salvage yards they weren't the "cool 4 strokes" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The old pro-trax required you to use Laegers steering stem, the new versions use a standard aftermarket stem. $2300 bucks for these arms and spindles. I have eventual plans to do this along with a 250R/450 style frame, once I graduate, and have the money and facilities to do so. With any luck if I can reproduce these things well, in a cost effective manner, and get my fabrication skills up to par. I will pay to be a site sponsor such as stellar and offer similar product only geared more toward mx/xc/desert rather than drag. This would be a dream come true for me.
