hnb
everyone on here seems to like to run yfz 450 shocks as a replacement for stock banshee fronts. the yfz travel is 11.0 and when installed on the bnshee lifts the front and inch and would bind the ball joints on full length extension. at least that seem to always be the argument. THE QUESTION at hand that I have is has anyone tried a set of kawi kfz 450r fronts --- the eyelets are the same diameter and width but the travel on the newer kfx's is only 9.5 compared to the yfz's 11.0 --- I can get a set for around 100.00 and they have the compression, rebound, and coil preload adjustments that the yfz's do ---- Just wondering if anyone has tried this --- the research that I have done seems that the kawi shock is about the only stock shock with the same lenght as th banshee stock shock. If no one has tried this then I will give this a whirl myself and report on it later -- thanks!!!

I am going to be running +2 +1 arms and I don’t really want to lift the quad much. I can get a set of YFZ shocks but not sure that is the route I want to go. So Cal Suspension
I can modify the stock 450 shocks to be stock banshee length. No more binding of the ball joints.
ionroller
When you modify the 450 shocks, do they still ride good?
So Cal Suspension
When you modify the 450 shocks, do they still ride good? They will still have the exact same ride as they did before, just be an inch shorter.
ionroller
does that effect ground clearance? How much you charge to do that?
So Cal Suspension
does that effect ground clearance? How much you charge to do that? Basically, I will shorten the shocks to the stock banshee length. You will lose ground clearance over running the shocks as is right now (because they're too long), but it will still maintain factory geometry, and ride height, as if the bike were stock. I can do both shocks, including parts, shipping, everything for $75.
