badassbanshee479 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 i am all for saving a buck but have you seen what happens to an engine when a crank fails? do yourself a favor and buy a good name brand crank...... remeber you can go broke tryin to save money Quote
jbooker82 Posted December 31, 2010 Report Posted December 31, 2010 Crappy crank = Cheap cost. Unproven crank = Cheap cost. It is your cash. Buy it and hope for the best. I will stick with a 4 mill Hot Rods crank from FAST for $435 or a M&M crank. Quote

There's pics of a big billet crank over on planetsand that snapped off right at the web. The life of your crank goes to the checkout, install, and maintenance. Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Always ran hotrods here myself and no problems, although i would not be afraid of andys @ m&m and that would be my next crank if i need one in the future. Quote
ban565 Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 nos is all about not losing buy a crank that will meet the needs of the motor you are builting Quote

There's pics of a big billet crank over on planetsand that snapped off right at the web. That's my buddy, Newtz... unless you're going BIG...I'd stick with a forged crank over billet. Cost justification isn't there vs. the failures I've seen too... If you smoke a billet, you might as well throw it in the trash. A forged can normally be rebuilt for reasonable. Quote
