esterelbanshee
I can't even begin to describe how good it feels to be out on the lakes again. I just love ripping it across vast distances at WOT in 6th. It's also the only time of year that I dont feel like she's gonna blow up at full pin. Cold air is definitely our friend. My bike just loves -12celcius. It sings. I got yelled at by a pack of Skidoo riders for being on their trail a bit but you know how that goes.... sorry, can't hear you. locogato11283
I'd be more worried about mine blowing up in the winter time than in the summer. I bet it does kick ass pegging it though across the lakes.

87sheerips
It is definitely my favorite terrain to ride on, nothing like it!
Jereme6655
it is fun to ride lakes....and yes they scream hard in the winter. BUT the odds of blowing up your bike actually increase if you don't rejet. The colder the air is means that it is also more dense.....so there's more air molecules in the same amount of room as say when its 100* outside. More Air means you gotta throw more fuel at your bike to keep it from running lean which means you must rejet. Other than that there isnt anything difference as to whether your motor will blow up. And i don't like to keep it pinned in 6th for really long distances....never have and never will

Huey73
Where I live we don't get a lot of snow but the lakes and rivers freeze up pretty good. Nothing like running a meandering creek for miles, corner after corner, then back out on the lake for a wide open run. love it! Just wish I had my shit together already!lol
esterelbanshee
I'm currently jetted for -30celcius so I can run all day long at WOT. The bikes just sound so much healthier in the cold as compared to summer. Cold dense air is beautiful. Someone said its like a highway on the lake, I agree. If i need a pack of smokes at the store in town, it's a straight line across 2 lakes and im there in 5 mins. We are allowed to ride the roads here too.(town bylaw) More of you should go out and experience this. I ride way more in winter than summer which hardly seems possible. Winter riding is all high speed because the rough trails get all smoothed out and the lakes are all open speed zones. Just don't forget to rejet.
