Jeep SRT8

Anyone here have a Jeep SRT8? Those things are badass looking. I have been looking around at them lately but haven't come across much. Anyone driven one? Are they fun to drive?

I looked at them this past may but was turned off by the meager 3500lb towing capacity and the exhaust comes out right in the middle where the hitch would go. No doubt bad ass vehicle but i went with the AWD trailblzer SS instead with almost the same performance, better fuel mileage, towing ready and 6700lb capacity. So far i love it!

SRT8 Jeeps were not made for towing.

They were made to set the bar for all SUVs out there, and as far as performance goes, they did what they were meant to do.

seen a few youtube vids of the srt8 getting flogged

 

are jeep parts as expensive there as they are here ? compared to other manufacturers prices ?

I don't need to tow anything with it. I have the Cummins for that. It would be more of just a cruiser or taking trips down to KC. Even at that, 3500 pounds is more than I would even be towing anyway.

A guy I used to work with has one there pretty bad ass, and super fast. He put alot of money into the motor and did a rear wheel drive conversion on it...so with the touch of a switch he can go from AWD to RWD...kinda fun for burn outs and stuff.

 

I do like the SS Trail Blazers alot too. Just never been a big Jeep fan but thats just my opinion.

if towing isn't an issue i'd go for it, i don't have the coin to have a tow vehicle and a toy.

My buddy has one with a procharger @ 10psi.. runs 12 flat on street tires all day with his ol lady behind the wheel

 

I think they go 13.1-13.2 stock...

 

I had more than one of those surprise me.. especialy out of the hole!!

 

Cool rigs, Herd they have overheating issues tho

Well shit, I've been looking around but apparently even the used ones come with a Playmate that gives you road head while you're driving because they are expensive.

Checked it out. Sick whip. Just need to find a reasonably priced one within a million miles of me.
