06specialedition
well now ive changed my mind and im getting it bored 40 over i found a top end rebuild kit from wiseco for $195.95, ill have about roughly 400 dollars after getting it bored and buying the pistons, then with that money ill try to get the crank trued and welded if i can and if i can find someone to do it, which like you guys said should be about 50 bucks, so then ill be down to 350, then ill buy the vforce3 reeds which are 220, that will put me at 130, then ill buy a full motor gasket kit and replacement stainless steel allen screws for the side covers which cost $45.45, ill be left with 85 bucks plus all the shipping costs i have to add in, so ill probably be at maybe 75 or 70 bucks, what should i buy with that much left Extra 70 bucks...I'd get a Mull or Chariot water impeller. Jereme6655
dont go with a .040 bore yet man.....start at the smallest size. Otherwise your only shortening the life of your cylinders. Give Jeff at F.A.S.T. (Farmandsandtoys.com) a call and he can set you up. He can get you the correct sized top end kit for almost that price.....or even better yet....you can just send him your cylinders and he can bore/hone and chamfer the intakes (like your supposed to do) and then send you the cylinders and top end kit and everything you'll need. He is actually pretty cheap when you think of it.......he does the bore and hone for like $100 total for both cylinders. Oh ya....and i didnt see any price in your listing for the machining cost of the cylinders which will be anywhere from $100-$180 Edited December 25, 2010 by Jereme6655

Larry's Shee
OOPS. From what I've seen it's more common on all out race engine. It depends on the extent of mod and how hard you run it. Can result in craked/broken skirt over time.

Can result in craked/broken skirt over time. oh alright well thanks i guess we will see what happens, im ting into drag racing anywhere i can for trophys and stuff ive already won one my first drag race 2cd place against about 30 other people, made a 30yrld guy mad cause im 15 and beat his banshee lol, but a built yfz450 beat me by not even a quad length i was right there on him so i built it a lil more by doing the timing+6* porting cylinders and piston windows, put vforce reeds in, noss head 19cc domes had my crank trued and welded and all gaskets seals replaced and rings and the reed pedals, about a grand in work done over winter, i had jeryy a guy i know pretty well owns his own little buisness and seems to know everything about banshees do all the work on it, it does an awesome job atleast it looks awesome and he always gives me good deals, but it doesnt seem much more powerful with all that stuff done, idk if its cause my front sprocket is so big that you cant tell from that or cause im running premium instead race fuel or what? also about how much hp would it be with all the stuff on it, i was told only 55-60 is this correct i thought it would be more than that
willaduncan
60 hp on a quad is not bad, yea there are 90+ hp banshee's but 60 hp for a recreational quad is not bad at all, only way to tell is dyno that biotch
