Larry's Shee
What kind of riding are you going to do? Welcome to BHQ !! What do you currently have on it? Porting ,pipes, +4 timing, maybe carbs ,maybe save a little to start upgrading suspension. JMHO, your results may vary.
kodie
agree with what has already been said. Also it doesn't matter how much hp you are throwing down with out good enough suspension to handle it you will just spin. Need to let us know what riding you are doing and mods already done. The basic motor mods are pipes cool head and domes adjustable timing plate reeds and carbs good k&n filter with outerwears and no airbox lid. some don't even run an airbox. then if that isn't enough comes porting and a 4 mil stroker crank. the sky is the limit with a banshee once you start modding its an addiction. Fastassbanshee96
You could always go with the serval cylinders. You can make 80hp on pump gas!!! Just contact Jeff at F.A.S.T or one of the site sponcers. Jeff is building me one right now, and if you don't go with a 4mil then it's a bolt on kit. Otherwise do the porting, pipes, carbs, timing plate....
Wicked ATV
hi i am new to this forum and i am new to banshees i just picked one up and i am looking to do so mods to it. i have around 1500 to spend on mods and i need so ideas. i love to go fast that why i picked the banshee over the yfz and the ltr. so any suggestion on mods in my price range???? thrill-billy85
ok first we need the basics.... since you didnt provide those, im going to assume your shee is bone stock.... TORS removal kit Toomey T-5 pipes v-force reeds (2's or 3's) k&n airfilter DONT BUY A BOOST BOTTLE!! they dont do shit except crack your intakes, resulting in a lean mixture, melting down your motor now you have about $500 left after the above mods (maybe more) 2 choices: A) have your stock crank trued and welded (to support future mods and ensure your crank wont scatter) +2+1 A-Arms.... really depends on what type of riding youre going to be doing (which you also didnt tell us) woods, and trails id get the a-arms. (wicked atv has great deals, and is a site sponsor) or if you ride dunes go ahead and get the crank welded.
bansheesrtoys
if it is a stock crank don't wastse your money on welding. I would go +4 crank and have the jugs ported to match or run a spacer plate till you can afford the port job.i run a spacer plate know and it had a big power increase. Yes if you get the crank and have it ported you will endup spending over $500 but what if you get the stock crank welded and a month later it blows a bearing then you have to get a new crank. and if you run the spacer plate you will be right around $500. Alot of people don't like the spacer plate but when on a budget it works.
midlifecrisis
With a $1500 bill in my pocket, this is what Id do. IMO! If its bone stock, then do pipes & carbs, and port match the cylinders to match your choices and riding style. You can buy the pipes and carbs in the for sale forum to save a few bucks, and to get honest advice on your buys from other members. Theres a shit pile you could do, but these are expensive choices that would be nice to get at the beginning, and then build your bike around them. 06specialedition
Welcome to BHQ! If your bike is 100% stock...I would for sure start off with bolt on mods like, pipes, cool head, filters, timing plate, reeds, carbs...etc. After that you can look into porting, 4mil crank....things like that. Once you start putting money into your banshee...you'll never stop.
