shoopie
i know you guys are gonna hate me for this but i might be doing some sand riding later this spring and need to know what paddles i should get. all my mods are in my sig. stock length swinger. stock sprockets. i was thinking 20" 8 paddles or sandstars but i dont know enough to make a decision. thanks guys. -Ryan
BigRed350x
I'd wait and see if your home-made A-Arms hold up before you start looking for paddles. You might need the money to buy some good aftermarket A-Arms. Look for a 21" 8-Paddle. You would be a lot happier with the 21" Edited December 21, 2010 by BigRed350x

Try a straight paddle that matches your setup and you will wonder why you ever ran a v-blade.
dirtydownunder
I went with the V's because i thought there were more for play than dragging like the straight paddle, these V's are pretty understeery anyway are the straights worse ? So Cal Suspension
I always preferred the V paddle to the straight paddles, personally. Straight paddles hooked up WAY better in a straight line, but my favorite tires I ran were Sand Stars. Straight line hookup was still pretty good... and would slide when you wanted them to. If you're not going to do a TON of sand riding, don't spend a bunch on tires... but please don't buy Sand Gecko's...
Josh Z
x's 2 on the sand geckos! They suck! anyone wanna buy a set of them from me? lol! I really like the straight paddle also. I had sand stars and went to skat trak extremes and h-o-l-y-s-h-i-t! HUGE difference. The sand stars were pretty decent and hooked ok but I cant keep the front down with the extremes. oh. and... dont go with 20" go at least 21" if not 22" The 20"s are too much torque so you usually just dig in and get buried instead of taking off fast. sounds fun tho!!! I sure cant wait to get some sand time again!
jjfizzle51
I ran some modified sand geckos (cut off the random spikes and took about an 1/2 inch off the v's) on my first banshee I have to admit the V does help with turning if you use your rear wheels to help turn. I later got Skat Trak 8 paddle Haulers and the hook up was amazing it was a little harder to turn but the benefits far outweighed the cons. Oh and the Skat Traks felt like balloons compared to my other tires when it came to weight they are freakishly light!
chillls
i run SKAT TRAK 20x10x10 8 haulers & love them, but i dont notice digging in when launching. sometimes when i take off on the middle of a hill it will dig a little. my vote is definitely SKAT TRAK which ever model you buy.
