I used to ride on a few different MX tracks on my old Banshee ....not all the fancy tricks though, but used to jump upwards of 30 - 40 ft on a stock suspended quad....I was in a lot better shape / lighter back then ( early 20's / 180 lbs ) too though !!

My biggest problem was not enough traction or suspension to clear some of the jumps, and the landings were harsh, I bottomed the shit out of it all the time, ( actually thought I was gonna break the frame at times..LOL ).

However I did break the stock pipe mounts and the stock pipe mids fell off a couple different times.

I was never a Super great rider, but was alright, could pass some guys on 2500cc bikes...back in 2001 or 2 maybe.

i do have fmf gnarly pipes and power core 2 silencers, 290 jets. and i have 06 yfz 450 shocks on the front and the frame is gusseted bc i have demolished and bent frames beyoned repair in the past. so i know ecxacly where to beef them up at. lol. i was going through 3 set of stock shocks a month, just blowing them off the frame and bending them into candy canes! the yfz shocks were so much better, especially on my body.lol. but even now im needing a better front suspension and a-arms bc ive pushed them to their max. extended a-arms and aftermarket shocks would be a dream come true! lol. i have lots of shows coming up, so sponsors would be a gift from god! my pocket book is drained and it takes all your personel money to make allthis happen. i need some wheight taken off my shoulders and im hoping sponsors will help with that. this is my set up that i pull all over the u.s. just finished it about 2 months ago and i alredy have people booking me to do shows all over! the pics are in my gallery bc it wont let me post them here. check em out. i am no joke! i take what i do very seriously.

I agree with Tim. Have you been in any competitions or anything? Have you won anything? If you are as big into this as you say, you should have some results or your name somewhere.

For example, I am a nationally ranked hillclimber and my name and pictures can be found pretty easily. I attend many regional events and one national event every year. This information is easily obtained.

It's not that we don't think you're doing what you say you do, it's that we need to see some sort of proof that you are getting the recognition you say you are.

I initially was going to leave this alone, but figured I'd put my two cents in here.

I couldn't agree with Tim more. I talked to a few people about this before I posted, and decided that without some sort of competition record, there's no benefit to myself, or other companies sponsoring someone.

The fact is, exhibitions don't sell product... races and competition sell product. In order for me to front over almost $2,000 for a set of shocks, I would want to see a competition record 4 pages long.

I'm open to seeing a schedule of upcoming events also, and might even be interested in attending one or two of them to see what it's all about.

CGR, you need to realize that we get asked for free product almost on a daily basis. Right now everyone wants something for free, and if we gave it out to everyone who made giant claims, we'd be out of business.

And i completely agree 100% with all of you. if sponsors gave their products away to every joe shmoe that claimed to be good at what they do,without proving themselves to all, then they`d go out of business. I have done many shows ranging from small town fair events, to motocross events and everything in between. I was hired by LAKE OZARK SPEEDWAY, where the 360 NATIONALS where held, to be the entertainment for the thousands of people who attended the two day televised event on versus channel. I did two shows each day. one show before the races started and the intermission show. I have just recently signed on with ETERNITY MX and will be riding with them and their new staff. We are currently in the middle of up dating the website with videoes and pictures of me and the eternity crew. along with upcoming events. like entering the freestyle contest at the INDOOR WINTER NATIONALS in SPRINGFIELD, MO on JANUARY 7th and 8th. So if any of u`all want to see if i am who i say i am, then come on out and watch all the action. You will see that i am a nice guy and a good person. I am anxious to meet any of you good people.

I do have to disagree with the one thing that mattscesc said about(

The fact is, exhibitions don't sell product... races and competition sell product.) When we do shows and we have our sponsors big banners all over the side of our mobile landing and ramp, and we are using their product on our bikes. the fans notice this and say, if that product can take the abuse and pounding we put it through, then thats what they are going to purchase. they get to see that product in action, with their own eyes, and know it can hold up to any task they will ever put it through. Trust me guys, exhibitions do sell product. I know for a fact.

And locogato, i understand what you mean about being ranked. in 05 i was ranked 3rd in the state of MISSOURI and in 06 i took first at the ST. JOSEPH PULL FOR THE HUNGRY CHAMPIONSHIP as you can see, i have proof of me in your home town taking 1st place. if you zoom in on bottom right and top right, you can see the city and state. i am retired now but i still attend st. joe pull every year. im the guy on the right by the way. :D

No one is doubting your skill or ability. You mentioned in your earlier post that you go all over the US, but it seems as though you only do your thing in Missouri. When you're in Southern California, hit me up, and I'll come out and check you out. I'm sure the other several site sponsors that are local here would join me. Tim might even make the trek.

Since you said you have banners on your landing ramp, what sponsors do you currently have? I don't want to sponsor someone who is already sponsored by a competitor. And do you have any pictures of that banner, just so we can gauge size?

How many events a month/year are we talking? I know several racers that I have sponsored make appearances several times a month. How big are the venues? How often are the exhibitions?

Also, Yes, exhibitions do sell SOME product, but not the quantity that large race organizations are capable of selling.

Don't think I'm drilling you here, but for myself, or any other business to want to front the kind of money that you're asking for, we need quite a bit of information, and some sort of proof. Maybe put together a 2011 schedule, post it up, and we'll go from there.

It would really help your cause if you had someone to film your events and take professional pictures. You can't go on word anymore, you need footage and a paper trail, start building a resume if you are serious about this.

I have told everyone the up coming event and dates. im hoping u`all can make the trek. dont you guys go out of your way sometimes to check out somebodys talent? this is one of those times when you should. you wont be disapointed, that also gives you that chance to meet that person and see what they are really all about. thats the way i like to do business, man to man, face to face. you cant get any more real than that. i am the easiest and nicest guy you will ever meet. I invite all to come out.

I respect doing business face to face. But you want me to get on a plane to Missouri in a week, to watch you do your thing, without anything other than you saying you are who you say you are? If your previous events have been televised, surely you have video of this. Post it up, and we can go from there.

You need to realize that nearly everyone who has asks for a sponsorship makes IMMENSE promises and guarantees, and 99% of them fail to keep them.

I don't sponsor people just by their word, sorry. Next time your show brings you within 500 miles of Southern California be sure to hit me up. Until then, sorry, but I can't justify taking several days off, and paying to fly to Missouri to watch something that I have no details, or know nothing about.

This is starting to remind me of the back flip thread.
