muggzy Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Hey people, I'm looking for a replacement filter that'll go into the stock air box. I've got a K&N in there now but the seal between the filter and the front of the air box is the same as the stock seal and they both suck - it's just a piece of foam that gets pushed out of place every time you install the filter. Anyone know of a more reliable filter/seal setup that works in the box? I want to keep the box to keep mud and water away from my intake. Quote

What about the Pro-Design kit that you bolt the alum. piece into the airbox and then clamp the filter to it? Much better than the stock setup Edited December 13, 2010 by SuprSlow50 Quote

I have an airbox for sale on here that has the billet adapter and k&n already in it. Hit me up if you might be interested Quote

crustydemon Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 The toomeys ate nice too if you want to get rid of your box altogether. Quote
Judge1 Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 The billet adoaptors have a o-ring to help seal up the connection but I also use some gasget maker for extra protection! Quote
RZBansheeMan Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 + 10 for the adapter and the clamp on style K & N in box filter. I trashed my motor a year ago because of the gay stock foam seal "NOT" sealing and so my motor ingested heaps of sand.... Quote
bode1 Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 I have the K&N filter with the pro Flo billet adapter. I love it and would recommend it to anyone. My nephew bought a Banshee with the adapter and foam filter. I didn't like that. We couldn't get it to seal correctly, and the adapter is different from k&n to the foam. It was also a mess with the filter oiled. We took his off and got him the same setup as mine. Quote
