TimJ
Can anyone explain what the boost bottle does and what the difference is in the stock tube and the bottle. Thanks Tim

Jereme6655
They bounce.....wobble.....shake and cause air-leaks. What the cross-over tube does is evens out the pressure (if there's a difference) of the intake charge. The boostg bottles are gimics that are supposed to make you believe that they store a little more pressure and then give an extra sized intake charge for your motor to breathe in. but it doesnt workt hat way.....actually it doesn't do anythign that a cross-over tube does. they are junk....get rid of it and get a pick-up tube from a sponsor.....they run like $15 and wont ruin a $200 top end. Larry's Shee
I thought the cracking was a myth. As I was putting boots on I took a good look at them and sure enough it was cracking. Not all the way thru but rest of boot was fine. I pluged them off for now. Pesonally I have never seen anyother multi cyl two stroke with a crossover so I dont think it's even necessary. Bigger boots don't have it , proof enough.
KickStartMyHeart
I believe there's 4,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 threads on the "boost bottle". Use ur search bar and type it in and you can read for days on this mystic creature they call the "boost bottle". Bottom line is they dont work and clutter up the engine. 68chevyc10355
Boost bottles sound great because of the name, but in reality they are junk. One was on mine fourwheeler when I got it. One boot cracked in 6 months of riding so I replaced both carb boots, but left the boost bottle alone. 2 months later, two major cracks developed causing it to run lean and it sucked in a bunch of dust. So, imo take it off and smash it with a sledge hammer or fill it with gun powder and blow it up.
