nvrstsfd23
I just got an 06 banshee. I cleaned the air filter and put new plugs in it. I got it to fire up and run but it seems that the the left side pipe doesn't blow out the smoke as hard as the right side. Also when I rode it it would bog down a little and then come to life. I contributed that to be cold but not sure. When I pulled the plugs they both looked the same. Any ideas on what to check I am going to do a compression and a leak down test first. Burt Reynolds
Is one side just smoking more,or is it when you put yor hand in front of the silencers one actualy blows harder. Did it run fine before you changed plugs and cleaned the filter? Could be a lot of things
nvrstsfd23
It's both there less smoke and pressure on the left side. I just got it yesterday.
Larry's Shee
Start with the easy things/free. Swap plug wires , if problem switches it's elec. If not try cleaning carbs. X-2 on LD/ comp test.
06specialedition
Are the carbs synced?
nvrstsfd23
I haven't checked the carbs sync yet. I think I found the reason though the clamp on left side pipe to silencer is shot and I losing pressure out through it and I think thats the difference out of the back. However it is a stock banshee and the compression showed a reading of 115. How bad is this and what is involved in fixing it.

If your all stock I think 115 is a little below normal.
Burt Reynolds
115 as long as its even on both sides is fine for now,its a little lower but i would run it. i usualy dont rebuild for compression reason till it gets down near 100 ow when the cylinders are more than 10 psi off from eachother
Jereme6655
ya....115 isn't really anything to sweat about....ya its lower than what is "perfered" after a rebuild....but 115 is still DEFINATELY runnable.
