If not i dont think you need bigger carbs. Maybe some 28 pwks. I have a FAST dune ported 350 running 185psi compression and it runs excellent with stock carbs. I put the motor together for my brother as a x-mass present. Jeff recomended i go to 33 pwks, but after buying new crank, pistons, porting, billet basket new clutch and everything else i wasnt going to buy the carbs for him too LOL. . After riding it, he didnt bother to buy them either as he loves how it runs. IMHO if its not ported, i would do that first and then buy carbs

If its not ported and your looking for more power, get that done first. I still run stock carbs on my Wildcard Racing aggressive dune ported 350, and the thing rips so damn hard. I'm sure carbs would help, but It runs great right now with stockers Yeah every little bit helps, but I think you'll see bigger power gains having it ported first. Not 100% sure, but I've been told stock carbs will handle up too about 65-70HP.
ejered
Sorry I guess I did forget to mention that, it does have an aggressive Dune port and cleanup to it, nothing to drastic but it has been opened up. So would I be better off with 33pwks you think? With proper jetting from what I take is it would be ok?
crustydemon
I think you would be much happier with the 33's. You dont really even need to go that big but if you open it up more in the future you'll have them. Smaller carb=better throttle response. I feel so confused. Hey RDZbangshee, who is your builder? There has to be a reason the motors you run are short lived. Are his other clients facing the same issues? I personally build my and tune my motors knowing that after a season, it will definitely need to be gone through. But to only get 20 hours, just seems weird. Who is tuning the thing? Sorry to hi-jack. Those 35's should be great ejered. If you got dunes like oregon, try the 33's though. If it is more open mid top throttle, 35's will pull the rpm's to keep you grinning. Hell, if you try the 35's and don't like them, trade them for the smaller stuff.
dave5.0
4 mm stock stroke @ stock porting I'm not trying to bash either, but what does this mean? Are you talking about a stock stroke long rod?
