steeler2169
I can only make 3 laps on a mx track, then right forearm starts screaming. Im only 31 so not to out of shape. Has anyone bought any thing that can adjust the thump throttle to be comfy.

jbirdshee
do you have an extended thumb throttle? if not then you definitely need to invest in one. well worth every penny
jbooker82
Do you have aftermarket carbs like Kiehin? Those have a lot stiffer slide spings. Jeff at fast sells some lighter tension springs. I dont know if they work for stock carbs though.

Yea but it will also help you hold the throttle WOT. There was one on my banshee when I bought it. The tip of my glove on my index finger would catch the lever as my thumb would push it past. Let off with my thumb and my finger would keep the throttle held open.

I took mine off because I didnt like it doing that. Longer lever requries a longer sweep so you will be pushing your thumb farther forward. jbooker82
I think you can use a honda thumb throttle. Try the 400 ex thumb throttle on your banshee. See how it fells. If it is good then buy one used off of ebay.

rubberneck
The extended throttle levers lilke the ones cascade sell suck imho. they are ergonomically wrong and you end up pushing the throttle from the same point as stock if not further in. If you have stock carbs you can cut half a coil off the slide spring, if Keihns, get the soft springs from FAST. However, the best thing you can buy is the chariot performance adjustable throttle. With it you can adjust position at idle and it has an adjustable full throttle stop. It will also open carbs up to 41 mm i believe. I have put them on all my bikes. The whole assembly. Banshee cable with a hond thumb throttle. You might do some checking. I dont have any first hand experiance, just herd about guys running a honda thumb throttle.
