Jereme6655
wow FTG....those look good! Its great to see someone trying to come up with a different view of how to re-design the banshee plastics. You may be able to find a member on here that (who said something earlier) that likes it but doesn't want to steal your idea.....if they can do the quality good....see if you could make a mold or let them do it (cause it WAS your idea) and see if they will supply just you a set whenever you need em for your quad for free and they can sell the ones they make?? hey its worth a shot.....but i really like the look of those. And for the right price i bet you ALOT of guys here would buy em up
FTGRACING
I'm liking it even better that the Franken rivits are gone. Little more work and some paint it will look great. Full , cut ,fast fiber , no fenders. Not much choice. Nothing wrong with trying something different , outside of the box. Kinda like hot rod styling with just enough fender to be legal. Please be sure to post pics of the finished /painted product. Yeah, it is coming. I got the rivets out of the other side and now I and working on melting in some metal mesh reinforcement. After that there is a Plastic Adhesive I have done on a hood before and worked so I will sand fill and sand again. Then off to prime and paint and will post pics but this is taking longer than I hoped. I have also thought about welding the 3 peices of the front fenders together like an aftermarket also, but not sure if I will spend that much time. I'm glad you liked it, I'm actually a designer by trade and always try to think of better ways to do stuff. I actually got the other side welded now and I'm inlaying metal screen metal mesh to make it hold up. Not sure if I'm going to do a mold of not yet but still may try. The problem is with me making fenders there is so much cost involved in materials to do glass or carbon fiber. So the next best thing is to have someone else make fenders from plastic. I know Maier would maybe make them if we ordered enough sets. A guy on Kawieriders.com did that and got a bunch of side panels and other stuff made for forum members but he footed the money upfront. Also don't care for Maier so much, they smooth to may body lines out and don't fit like OEM.
FTGRACING
Little update. Everything is welded and wire mesh on each side. Coated it with plastic bonding adhesive (auto body spec) and am sanding. Man this shit is taking me a lot longer than I thought. Anyway below is a pic still needs some filler but you get the idea.
