Michael Jackson
epic question - "..without air" fill em with helium , thats what all the pro racers do, -1/2 lb on each wheel/tire
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Yeah, can we save on the shipping if we don't ship the air? What do we do?...Get the wheel and tire shrink wrapped? "How much does it weigh without air?"...... It'll be a while before you live that one down.
pabansheematt
How much does it weight more or less a banshee back wheel, rubber and rim only, no air? Thanks! Ill bet that air adds a couple pounds. LOL.
bansheesrtoys
if its really that important which it is not, just pick them up with your hands and then drain all the air a lift again. If you feel a diffence which you probally won't then you have your anwser.

pabansheematt
Air actually does have weight. Granted its not much, but it does. Thats news to me.
WINDYCITYJOHN400
I'm sure the postal sacles don't read in units of know-it-all. Even if air has a weight....I'm sure the weight of criticism over his question will far outweigh it.

Eight
Well, as we all having some fun i´ll explain . Air weights, you can check it. Ok, a tire´s air content is meaningless, but here is the reason i asked. I live in Spain, was going to buy a set of back rims plus tires from an ending auction and was in a hurry to calculate shipping to know if they were worth the money after shipping. I wasn´t at home so i couldn´t weight my own shee´s tire, otherwise i´d had weighted it . Don´t know about the US, but in my country you can´t ship wheels full of air or bikes/quads with liquids. Ok, my fault, didn´t realise at that moment air inside of them wasn´t important into equation
WINDYCITYJOHN400
Yeah, we know. It was just funny. Over here, we call that having a "blonde moment".
Larry's Shee
And now the rest of the story !! Have to admit it has been Even 1lb at ground level would probably cause them to blow up at 30,000 ft. So did you get the tires?
Eight
a blonde moment lol, we say more or less the same saying over here Guy was a lazy ass and didn´t want to drive to the post office, so he wanted a courier service. Size and weight made shipping too expensive to be worth them for me. Not in a hurry, i can wait anyways
