shoopie Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) What is the best way to remove the tors and the lights from my harness? do i just cut the wires from the connectors and just get rid of the wires and ground wires for the lights and tors? or do i have to save some of them to make the bike run? i read the entire electrical sticky above but its still not too clear to me. also what is the best way to remove the key switch? sorry, im not too good with wiring, never really understood any of the terms too well. help me out guys. Thanks -Ryan Edited October 28, 2010 by shoopie Quote
J-Madd Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 The only wires you need are the orange and black wires to go to the coil; then another black wire to ground. Put the black/white wire inline with your tether kill switch. I think you ground the black/red wire also; but don't remember for sure. Quote

AKheathen Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 you need all the stator wires, except yellow. keep all the black wires, except where it goes to pigtails that you won't use. you can trim all the stuff off the black/white wire, just a strait connection to the killswitch. the orange coil wire is needed, and the red/black wire needs to be grounded to black. wfobasheeboy Posted October 30, 2010 Report Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) This will show you what you can cut out. Just use the pinned banshee electrical FAQ . Go to the end of the post & you will see the wiring diagram with all lighting & crap cut out. Hope this helps you out. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=133650 Edited October 30, 2010 by wfobasheeboy Quote

AKheathen Posted October 31, 2010 Report Posted October 31, 2010 Connections: Ignition = RED + RED/BLACK no the red/brown are unused in the switch harness. those are functions on another atv, that uses the same switch....most likely ignition power for actuators and such. it's easiest to ground the red/black close to the cdi plug to keep things simpler, if you never plan on using the function on that harness. Good catch that should read: Ignition = BLACK + RED/BLACK Quote
