adamsj13
Hi all, what would you recommend the mix ratio for a 99 banshee. It has a 4 mil motor that was just dyno'd at 71 hp. Its jetted and has T5 pipes, coolhead and I think 34mm carbs. Im not sure about the porting. I used to run a TRX250R at 40:1, should I do the same with the banshee or 32:1 or somewhere in between? I'll be using 50/50 vp race 110 and 91 Pump with Redline racing oil. Edited October 20, 2010 by adamsj13
locogato11283
M&M ATV has done tests where more power was actually made with more oil. I would say that you can't go wrong with 20:1.
blk02banshee
Tune it for whatever mixture you want. I run mine at 28:1, but jetted it while running that mixture. Some oils require mixing at a certain ratio, which is fine, just make sure your jetting and air mixture is right, and the motor will be happy.
