Gikki44
I cannot figure out how to remove the shift arm from the case? i disconnected the cable, removed the bolt and keeper and it slides up about a 1/4 inch but will not come out. Is there something else im missing?
Sandfrk33
I think you have to remove the push rod and ball out of the clutch center to pull the arm.

Larry's Shee
Might have burr on end. Why are you trying to pull it ? I presume you don't have cases split?
bansheesandrider
Do you want to remove the shift SHAFT or the CLUTCH arm? From the direction this thread is going it sounds like you are talking about the clutch arm. Try levering it out gently, if the pushrod, ball and retainer are removed, it should come right out. The pushrod is about 6 inches long and is inside the shaft after the ball, it is out? If it won't come something is damaged.

If its the clutch arm you need to pull the clutch cover and run the center screw out on the clutch. then it will come right out. The shift shaft requires you to remove the clutch basket. Larry's Shee
Don't force it , get a bigger hammer. Really though ,if it doesn't come easily with a little twising you might have to split cases. Why are you pulling it ?
