Vintage Smoke
AK reccomended an octane rating for the compression you are running. Keep in mind that different countries calculate octane differently!! You may have to do some math to convert US octane ratings to what your country uses. AKheathen
if you cannot at least get avgas from the airport, then i hate to say, that you need to decrease compression

Darthwall
at that comp I would say get different domes lower it to 165 and lower run your gas once jetting is looking good
AKheathen
ok 3 things....first, check to see how the octane is rated.....it should say something at the pump about it. here, they say "(R+M)/2" that would set weather you should be running 23, or 24cc domes.....keep in mind, that it will lower compression if you move to cylinders with smaller bore, adn increase compression as you move to lower elevation, and when the rings seat. second, check your compression gauge. make sure the end of it where it screws into the cylinder is the same length as the spark pug (br8) and that it has the valve at the very tip. stock compression should be around 125psi sea level, and yours read 145? @2200'. it is possible that your gauge is reading high. third, it is a good idea to do a leak-down test on the top-end..... banshee9090
since u guys recommend that wonderful advice I shift to the stock cool head , went to the sand , pull it 1st to 6th gear , the power created by the new setup looks ok, no bog, no over temp and no problems, this week I will race with other motors , in order to evaluate new setup and to see if there is need to put more power on it. I will tray to video that.thanks guys.
AKheathen
how did you go about running the stock head? is it recessed the extra 1.5mm for proper clearance? also, the stock head chambers range from 22cc to 25cc, which you can only tell by measuring them with fluid. it is possible, as i mentioned, that you are getting high readings from the 22+2 domes. what did that stock head kick out anyways? Actually hot rod company recommend to use 4mil +5 crank shaft with Stroker gasket under stock cool head part# G093 , </SPAN> so far That is ok i will make sure about the setup after i race withe the guys hear in my place and beat them all , stock cool head kick if i still remember between 140 -150 psi yes it is possible to measure cool head chamber with fluid ! I raced yesterday at dune, my banshee beat all the way raptor of my friend 660cc with trinity stage pipe , not sure what sport air filter he use and how big his carburetor jet ,according to him he upgrade his bike in household builder workshop ,that was my first time racing and we were surprised all that fast incremental horsepower for the new banshee setup so guys I m happy with my shee now I told him about the wonderful banshee hq forum and how helpful is that.
