try feeling the pipes and see if one is hot and one is cold when riding it. It could be a bad plug, bad or plugged jets or a dirty filter. It also could have a ported cylinder set up for topend and it may be doogish down low depending on the porting. too big of carbs will cause this too. for now just check to see if one of the pipes is cool. if they both burn you then its running the way its suppose to for the previous owner

could be low on compression too. a good tell tell of low compression is hard to start cold. also you said your new to the bike. Are you new to 2 strokes? if so you might just be feeling the powerband. banshee's do not have 4 stroke torque. they have see you later top end.

Most likely a lean condition on the bottom or the carbs need synced.

Remove the air filter and look into the back of the carbs while hitting the throttle (not running). The slides should come up exactly the same.

If this is in check, check the idle air screws. Screw one in until it seats and count the turns you screwed it in. If they are 1.5-2.5 turns, take them down to .5 turns and see if the problem gets better.

A bog like you are describing is most likely a lean condition and may require slightly larger pilots but usually adjusting the air screws gets it done.

Its not low compression starts fine cold . This thing was set up for racing it runs race fuel in it has 18 cc domes not that it makes a diffrence or maybe it does . I have run 2 strokes back when i was a kid but that was a while ago ;) . i will check the things that have been suggested and i will give you my out come .

Thanx for the reply .

does this sound like a jett problem still .

does anyone live near Hazelton PA that knows what there doing maybe mess with the jetts for me ?

I would guess that it is a jetting, air/fuel issue. Jetting isn't about RPM's, gears, or speed so much as throttle position. Make sure your mains are dialed in first then work your way through the rest to clean it up in different throttle ranges. You need to head to the jetting/exhaust board. ;)

Ok we was messing with it a bit today and if we turn the pilot air screws out to 41/2 turns it makes it better but not like it should be . Then we moved the clips on the main jetts to the richest position and put the pilot air screws back to 2 turns out and it still is the same. Not what it should be but better then when we first started .

Does anyone have anymore input on this ?
