dude you seriously need a linkage for the rear

Don't even worry about it lol After looking at members pictures on here of how the rear is supposed to look, I've decided I'm not even going to try to make it work the way it is with that ghetto fab swing arm. I'm going to put a stock arm and link back on pronto.

KEVSWS6 thanks for the answer, I'll ignore that stuff.

sandman81, yeah I live in AZ. I'm up in the Phoenix area by the White Tank mountains.

So I'm making some progress... $78 later and Toomey is sending me two new mid pipes, all new o rings, and new pipe springs. I picked up a nice lot of banshee parts off ebay that had some stuff that was missing or wrong on my bike. I got a swing arm, air box, linkage, radiator etc plus a bunch of stuff I don't need. After some reading on the boards, I was going to do the TORS removal kit but took a second look at the carbs already have the idle screws installed so that was a nice surprise. I'd like to rebuild the carbs or at least clean them though, who knows what condition they're in. I need the top plastics, some brake pads and fluid, and a chain and it should run and look pretty good vs when I got it! lol

Question: The rear brake is missing a cable but has the hydo line. Is the cable normally linked to the front brakes or is it some sort of parking brake? And do I need to do anything special to run without it?

Here's a few progress pics... it's getting there. Got rid of the ghetto fabolous rear end, got a radiator that doesn't have a hole kicked in it, a chain, new mid pipes (not pictured) and I'm starting to get it cleaned up. Still need rear tires, an air filter, and a good tune to get her on the road.

Looks better than it did but it's got a ways to go before I'd be happy with it...

I got the swing arm from a local guy. It's a Metal Tech and +2 Dura Blue Eliminator axle. He gave me the whole rear end of his bike so that helped get rid of that horrible contraption of a swing arm that was there :D
