shadowbanshee
Im doing a rebuild on the shee and have ordered a new clutch cover gasket. I need to know if i need to use any gasket sealer on it when i put it in. i decided to put in a billet water impeller and when i took it apart yesterday realized my plastic gear was practically trashed, so good thing i did. thanks for the help. tiptopss
nope, no need for it, but you can put a skim coat of silicone on both sides of the gasket for reasurance
VegasJeff
no need for it,but I do put a thin coat around the water pipe section that goes through the case area, just in case the o-ring seaps a little. mull engineering sells a billit gear for the water pump,he's a site sponsor. SAVAGE420
I "lightly" coat my clutch and water pump gaskets with grease. Makes it so you can reuse them over and over again for years. This way when you take the cover off it wont stick and rip when you try and take them off. Mine have been in forever and i have taken my motor apart numerous times with the same ones in and there perfectly fine. Just a tip.
