chrisp250r
ive got my bike down for modifications but the last time i rode it the clutches started slipping really bad. im tryin to find which clutch and springs to run that will hold up... this is my setup, stock stroke, stock cylinders with rudy kurtz port magic full drag port, stock carbs, cpi inframes, +8 swing arm, 22x12x8 10 paddle rippers. i plan on going up on the carbs maybe to 34 pwk's or flatslides

sleeper06
Get the FAST clutch. It will hold up but anythimg with decent horspower 90+ will fry clutches drag racing on asphault ,I dont know what type of riding your doing.I built a 90+ hp cub with a fast clutch,I just tore it down for an overide and put a two year old clutch back in,but he dirt rides,. bigborebanshee
Take any clutch, stock or aftermarket and add 6 of the barnett heavy duty springs and viola!..you have a clutch that will handle high horsepower and a forearm like popeye. The weakest part of any clutch, regardless of the make is the clutch springs, there is very little difference in the fibers and the friction option is steel or aluminum. tedd1
any suggestions on a good ez pull lever and perch? F.A.S.T. has those as well. Call during normal business hours and he'll hook you up.
RagunCajun
You HAVE to call. There is no way to order via computer. I would advise against a e-z pull clutch because the way it works doesnt disengage the clutch as much as a stock lever. Also keep the cable greased. If you hate 6HD springs like i do, look into an undercover slingshot. Yes you said no lockup. Reason i did mine was so i can have a lighter pull and no slip. Perfection. To show you how well it works, my bike slipped bad with 6HD springs and worn out clutch. My cheap self just put a slingshot on and it has held for over a year. I abuse the effin hell out of my bike since it's got an override and hooks great. Edited September 13, 2010 by RagunCajun
sleeper06
A lock-up might seem like alot of money but a few fried clutches and its paid for

shanYE west
I'd try to stay away from the barnett if possible.. the plates like to glaze and the springs fade quickly. Not all HD springs are created equal. Toomey springs are the best in my opinion.. if you compare them side by side.. you'll see why. The Toomey springs are stronger and dont fatigue like the barnett springs. EZ pull levers works fine. FAST sells a nice one at a great price. Lots of us use them on here with ZERO complaints. my opinion.. Tusk Kit with 6 Toomey springs and a FAST lever. The only proven fiber from another bike that I've used is the FZR1000 fibers. RagunCajun
i just dont think ill need one and i dont want the extra rotating weight if i dont need it. You can always lighten your flywheel. But IMO it would hurt your 60' id think due to less rotation mass. However, the weight of the lockup might make up for it. If you were closer, id let you ride my bike and see. Although im pushing less power than you by far. Only reason im against 6HD springs is lever pull.
