89 Banshee Man
Ok I know I will be getting a port job done this winter but as I was looking at some of the sponsors I have seen Port Match Cases. Should I have this done also? I have alot of people I would love to go with but don't know. The sponsors I have been looking at are: Redline Racing, Wildcard Racing, Herr Jugs Racing, and F.A.S.T Racing. Also what is the difference between a play/dune port and a aggressive trail port? Thanks in advance to anyone that could explain this to me.
jbooker82
trail port will be a midrange port. A dune / play port is a mid to top end port job. It is probably the most common port job for the banshee because it is what the banshee is all about. Strong hit in the mid range and it reves out. Is is of course at the expence of some low end. What pipes are you running and what is the type of riding do you do.
Braap_a_Banshee
i'm not an expert on porting by any means. Well not at all actually. but i have a dune port by herr jugs racing and it is flat out amazing. insane power everywhere. i hear great things about every company you just mentioned, but Kevin at HJR does amazing work and he is a great guy to deal with. and his turn around is quick, prices are good also. i have too much good things to say about him. but like i said from what i have heard you wont be disappointed from any services from the ones that you mentioned. 89 Banshee Man
I am running Pro Circuit Platnums. The type of riding is little dune riding, trails, and hill climbing.

Is that where you trail port one cylinder and drag port the other? Wouldnt it be best to also buy 1 shearer pipe for the drag ported cylinder? jbooker82
How fast are you normally riding in the trails? Do you find your self in 3rd or 4th gear or is your trail riding 1st and 2nd gear rididng. If your trails are tight and that is your main rididng then I would go with a trail port. If your in 3rd and on up and trails are not super tight then I would go for a Dune port. It gets maximum mid range and top end. It does give up some bottom end. 89 Banshee Man
So then play/dune port would be the way to go? I am normally in 2nd and 3rd, 1st very rare. Sometimes get up to 4th and 5th and 6th on straight aways.
06specialedition
All our site sponsors do great work. I had Wildcard do my porting and they are perfectionists with their work. Whoever does your porting can port for your riding needs.
