I actually thought this rematch was gonna be different, i was thinking BJ was gonna put on a show. But he was a joke, when they were announcing them, i knew this was gonna be a sorry ass fight. BJ looked like he just did not want to be there and the same was after every round, looked like a zombie. Gotta love how Frankie took down The Prodigy with such ease. How about the 1st round slam and 4th round leg sweep. When BJ fought against Diego Sanchez he was all pumped looked like he wanted to rip him apart, this dude is a joke, this is why i cant stand BJ Penn, the so called prodigy. Dude can kiss my ass. Humble, not a cocky dickweed like BJ, and a pretty decent fighter. Honestly, i cant see anybody really beating this guy at 155 right now. Maynard has a good chance, but I think Frankie has grown up a lot since their first fight, and has really improved his game. He is quick, and excutes his game plan perfectly. Did Frankie do much more than punch the air and move around really fast? Sure, he had a couple take downs but that's it. The guy is beyond boring. Look at his record, he is a non-finisher. 8 decisions out of 13 wins. And he is our UFC LW Champion? That's really pathetic. The guy isn't good at anything. His standup lacks everything but speed and his ground game lacks everything but a take down. His ground and pound is weak and he has no power in his punches. BJ was slow and sluggish. He looked beaten after the first round and what little attempt he did make to do something was far too late. This is the guy we call the best LW ever? That's also pathetic. Call it what you want, but I call it like I see it. I am looking at the BIG picture, not just 25 minutes of wasted time while I watched this fight. Agreed, he has to beat Maynard though. Their first fight Maynard looked friggin enormous compared to Frankie and looked to be the better wrestler as well. Thats gonna be a tough fight. Maynard is another tall task. A huge, great wrestler. I still think that BJ is leaps and bounds the better fighter than Frankie. BJ has KO power, good TDD (except against Edgar) and has a world class ground game. Edgar really has none of those things. He utilizes his speed very well and that's what is winning him fights. I really hope they set up Maynard/Edgar for the next title fight. I'd like to see Maynard get the win after pulling off a win against Kenny. I think BJ's own hype gets to him. Then he goes out there and forgets that he really is the best LW in the world and lets someone out class him. It sucks, because BJ really is above and beyond any LW out there. It seems that literally one minute you have it in going in the cage and next your done. Too slow, old, tired, too much money, whatever. Its all a part of the game.
