OVERRIDE AND LOCKUP

it kinda works backwards than that man. you really want to have an override if you have a lockup because its almost impsossible to shift a stock tranny with a lockup.

a lockup is needed when you have a badass motor to keep the clutch from slipping. the FAST clutch is about the best clutch ive ever heard of.

lol, that's not true, I never had any problems shifting a stock transmission while running a lockup. Maybe you have some worn forks or a bent shift shaft.

Anything over 75-80 hp, you'll want a lockup

I use R1 fibers and raptor steels in my clutch

Same here Travis.. No problems at all with lock up and stock trans.

I personally have had good luck with Tusk kits. Usually one a season. But I use toomey springs instead of the Tusk springs.

With a DD style lockup you can really tune your 60ft times, cut springs, take away some weight ,pin it and hold on

I run a 4 mil with an overide 1-4 shift 5th and sixth for asphalt . I run sand to and run the crap out of it. The clutch and tranny been together 3 years and it still does not slip. And I have no lockout. Know that motor only making about 72 or 73 hp but still I personally think thats pretty good.
