plug chop

Looks rich to me but how long did you ride on those plugs. Mine are pretty much all white except for the smoke ring when I chop them. Looks like yours have been rode around for a while.

them were brand new plugs, one run up to 6th gear, and one run back to 6th gear, WFO throttle all the way. pulled, put in box and brought home

total time on that plug, 1.5 min MAX

To much time.

Warm the bike up on old plugs.

Put in new plugs, go WOT from 1-6 and at the end of 6th, pull the clutch in and turn the bike off.

Coast to a stop.

Pull the plugs and put the old ones back in...

Those plugs have a lot of fuel on them and after looking at it again, that is one thick, black smoke ring.

What kind of fuel, oil and at what mixture are you running it at?

Was that the left or right side plug, by the way (stator side or clutch side)?

I ran the bike around for 1.5 tanks of gas, changed to new plugs and then made one run wide open, turned around and wide open back, shut down and pulled

93 octane shell gas and amsoil dominator oil 40:1

right side (clutch) hot side

You're either Hella fat on the jetting or you have a bad crank seal.

How does the other side look?

that was one side only, and crank seal better be good, just got motor back from jeff at fast.....that was first run after break in, 1.5 tanks of gas at recommended jetting.

I had to re gap plugs to .020 because stock was cuttin out at high RPM, this chop was taken before re gap

I now have plugs at .021 and no more high end cut out.....I still need to work on low end bog....mid is nasty but high and low need tweeking still.....

I am just looking to get my baseline right before correcting others, one at a time. I would rather be a bit rich than lean while tuning

Your plugs will read wierd like that if the bikes ignition is cutting out due to it not burning all of the fuel effiently. Do NOT go any leaner Untill you fix your plug caps or ignition cutting out problems etc...

Like i said on the phone please send ME your plug chop pics and i will gladly help you get it dialed in.
