DallasGDub
He did not say to take the cyls off. He said to look for a spacer plate. If no plate, then measure the stroke. You can do that by taking out a plug and using the caliper. (or taking the head off like he said).

ELKARACING_SHEE
well im going to take the head off soon anyways, cause i gotta change the domes. I'm going to 20cc domes, cause i got 19cc but it runs on race fuel, and race fuel here is really expensive (140 bucks 5gallons) which will last me a ride

I was told my old motor was a long rod, ported, ext....and after HJR showed me how to check it all, it was stock. I was bummed, but happy. I was happy b/c I wanted more power and now knew what had to be done. I was bummed b/c I was lied to and ripped off.

You will have to get domes cut and not just buy 20cc's. What is the compression at?
Snopczynski
how about you just ride the bike and not worry about it. If your not mechanically inclined enought to know what these guys are talking about, then you dont need to be pulling it apart or working on it. When it breaks, upgrade time.
ELKARACING_SHEE
i was saying that i need to change the domes, or use octane booser with premium gas to obtain race fuel. If that doesnt work then i gotta change the domes, so i can run it on premium

Whats your compression anyways? Edited August 13, 2010 by wannashee20

T_Shee
some quick math tells me you are taking it up the ass on race gas. 7 bucks a gal here for sunoco 110. i hardly believe you are paying 25 bucks a gallon. like dallas said just pull out a spark plug, use a screwdriver or pencil or something and stick down into cylinder, turn motor over slowly until it goes down as far as it can, make a mark exactly inline with the top of the head, then slowly turn the motor over til it is all the way up, make another mark at exactly the same point in reference to the head on the pencil \then measure distance between each mark. may not be exact but should be close enough to tell. ELKARACING_SHEE
ok, so im going to give jeff at fast tomorrow a call, to find out what domes i need to put in the bike to run it on premium gas. Second of all, i think that the owner of this bike is really the JD owner i think. His name is John Darren. So im not too sure about that. But i have measured the stroke, and i got a measurement of 55mm, which is 1mm of stock. So this is just a ported bike, and not a 4mm. Anyways i have decided to make the right decision and keep it, and then i will turn it into a 421cub for the next build, since im selling old blue and my dirtbike, so im saving up for the cub
