The 4 mil long rod has a longer connecting rod and new pin location. The 4 mil stock length rod only changes the pin location on the crank by 2 mm giving an extended stroke length of 4 mm. THe long rod will actually add 0.00 hp and you might be able to stretch 0.00 more torque out of it. SHort rod 4mil will work fine but with the added stroke it will cause more side to side load so if you can run a long rod for the same price i would. I actualy have never seen a short rod 4mil crank for sale but im sure they are out there.
