Crankshaft question

Recommended Posts

i want to know the diference between the 4mm stroker 110 mm rod lengt and the 4mm stroker long rod 5mm more Rpm on the stock leng

t rod ?? the guy on ebay said there no HP diference? i want to built and 4mm

thank you !!!!

the 115 long ro crank will have less angle on the rod which will reduce side load on the piston for longer life. no hp gains. but the 110 rod crank works fine. the 110 is what I have with no problems. if you build one get it ported and domes cut for the stroker crank by one of the site sponsors I chose F.A.S.T racing worth every penny

The 4 mil long rod has a longer connecting rod and new pin location. The 4 mil stock length rod only changes the pin location on the crank by 2 mm giving an extended stroke length of 4 mm.

Performance is the same, reliability is arguably better.

The long rod will actually give you more power in the high end, and the less wear is a mojor bonus!!

THe long rod will actually add 0.00 hp and you might be able to stretch 0.00 more torque out of it.

SHort rod 4mil will work fine but with the added stroke it will cause more side to side load so if you can run a long rod for the same price i would. I actualy have never seen a short rod 4mil crank for sale but im sure they are out there. THe only thing i HATE about running long rods is less piston size choices

Longer rods will benefit high reving engines, less binding= more power, but thanks for your advice !!
