What kind of pipes to use

Recommended Posts

I just got new banshee the other day and im in the middle of rebuilding right now, my cylinders are getting a dune/play port from HJR, Coolhead with 20cc domes, I got stock carbs and plan on getting a set of rad valves or V-force 3 valves. Now my question is what type of pipes would you guys recommend, I ride mostly ride woods and open fields the only place I don't ride is are dunes. I want something for the occasional race but something I can use all the to mess around. Any input would be great, I don't want to spend money on something this isn't gonna work for me. Btw I got about 350-400 to spend on the pipes.

Yeah exactly what my cousin VictorK said he said their all gonna say T5s and maybe Fmf lol.

Well there are ALOT of pipes for banshees out there.

But you cant go wrong with T5's for what you want to do.

I ran the set i had for 3 years and they were damn good.

I like the cpi alot more than the T5's for a mid-top pipe.

For what your doing I would get an mx port, nothing much over 190 degree exhaust duration at most. Then a set of dual stage carbon fiber reeds, compression bumped to 155-160psi (dome size depends on Porting)then slap a set of Pro circuits on it. Round that out with about 3-4 degrees of timing advance. That will make a nice little start for ya.
