blast off
Hi guys I was wondering if I could get some help with this little problem I have. When Im on my shee and I pull up on the handle bars there is some play, It knocks up and down when i pull on it. There are no loose bolts or anything and the nut at the bottom of the steering stem looks ok but for some reason there is play. Has anyone seen this before? Is that a bushing at the bottom of the nut? can it be replaced? Any help is appreciated. Thanks,
Sandking
Sounds like your missing the spacer that goes BTW the small portion of the base of the steering shaft and bottom seal. It can fall out during removal of the shaft.
okbeast
There is a bearing at the bottom. It is underneath the flange the steering stem goes into. TeamRealtreeHD
Also, there is a retainer that screws in the frame to hold bearing, etc. If this loosens, you will also get play in the stem up and down.

Sandking
Just remove the pin and nut at the bottom of steering arm and see if the spacer is there.
