J.Marquette_6
Ok so I'm new to the banshee family, just got my first banshee and well it blew up . I'm not sure if it was from me or from the owner before, but it is being built right this time and I'm not taking any short cuts. It has a pro design cool head, 20cc domes, .20 over wiseco pro lite pistons, v force 3 reeds, toomey t6 pipes, stock carbs, stock air box (no lid), and uni filter. What I need to know is what jets I should run, jetting is something I have been trying to figure out for some time now lol. I'm in Ohio and the elevation level here is 1161.4 ft. Thanks guys and plan to see some pics of my bike after I get it all back together and running good.
dirtydownunder
stock toomey t6 jetting, is 280-290 main with their needle and the lid on your air box and 12 1" holes drilled into your box and lid. with the pilots at around 1.5-2 turns from seated. (close to sea level and warmish temps) if your not running a lid at all, you'd be around the 290-310 main. what jets have you in there now ? Jereme6655
yea your a LITTLE lean there what pilots are you running? you should be running a 27.5 pilot jet when your running aftermarket performance exhaust...
madjimmax
I think that you should be at least a 300 to a 320. When I was running the mods that your running I was using a 340 main, But I'm at sea level lucky me. Always remember when tuning its always better to start rich and lean down to where you need to be. Also a shee with a lean condition will run like a raped ape until it melts down so dont go by how the thing feels. If it was me I would start with a 320 and do a proper plug chop and go from there. If you do a search on plug chop you'll get everything you need to know. And by the way welcome to the HQ and get ready to open up the wallet. Good luck
J.Marquette_6
Oh the wallet is open lol. Just ordered some new .20 over wiseco pistons for her lol, and should get my cylinders back this week sometime. When I get it back and everything put together I will run the jets you guys recommend and see what happens. This site is pretty sweet, got a ton of good info and everyone seems to be very helpful. banshee67
start at around 300 and start it. see how it idles. if its bogging out with just idle and reving it out then your too rich. if it stays revved out for a while then your too lean.as soon as you get the jetting close by idle take her out and rip on her pretty hard and that is where you can fine tune you jetting. go out and ride it about three times or so to get it percise
06specialedition
Start a few sizes high and work your way down. Its better to run a little rich than a little lean.
