pabansheematt
I had another disaster. My clutch basket blew to pieces. My bottom case in most likely ruined. Not sure though. I have a good bottom case. Has anyone ever had any luck mis matching cases? I'll get some pics tomorrow. Thanks Matt
SAVAGE420
Ive heard yes and no on this. Just that Yamaha machined the top and bottom to be used together as a set. But on the other hand ive seen people mix them and not have a problem. If it was me, i would change them to a set. Shitty deal man. What billet basket was it? Post some pics up. Normaly, I would change them as a set. But this thing is taking me broke. I may just have it repaired. Its only a small chip. But we'll see. The bad thing is the top case needs to be bored if I get a new set.
methyman
Take it to a very good welder and have them fix it. I would not mix and match cases up.
pabansheematt
I guess I'm going to see what happens if you mix-match cases. I test fit everything and it fits perfect. I know its not the right way, but im tired of spending $$. So I used what I already had. I'll let yas know what happens.
firebanshee
Just make sure everything spins free after you torque the bolts.
