manalive
I think your power is good for now... just make sure that your jetting is good/close enough. Next time you need to rebuild it -> get a set of normal pistons and have it ported. New flat-slide carbs can´t hurt it but I´m not the one who can give you any advise about the "what size to get". I have used only stock carb´s when my motor was stock and after that I bought a set of uset 35 PWK´s. You can adjust them to give you a low end that you need but like I said I don´t know nothing between 26 stockers and 35 PWK´s. Focus on your suspension, handling, tires and gearing right now. That way you can use your power. -Pasi S. Hay pasi, When U say gearing do U mean the sprockets or in the trans? If it is the trans i have no clue on what to do. AKheathen
gearing is refering to the sprockets. smaller= lower in the front, although, 13tooth is about the smallest i'd recomend for reliability. more teeth=lower in the rear. stock is 14/41, and 1 tooth off in the front is about 3 teeth in the rear. the main thing about switching from stock carbs is better design. just going to 28's or 30's gets rid of the water issue with stock carbs. RagunCajun
If you ride trails or something like that i would do suspension first. More power is nice but if it beats your body up, then it isnt as fun to ride.
Pasi S.
Like AKheathen said allready I meant the sprockets. I use stock gearing(14/41) with my 20" Holeshots and Shand sharks. I use 13/42 gearing with my 22" RazrII in winter time. Those works good for me. You can usually tell by the feeling when you need longer or shorter gearing. My vote goes also for a good suspension and A-arms. You can go a lot faster when the ground is not beating you up. -Pasi S.
