theshee
MMAnews.com has Dana saying, Cain is next, then the winner of Cain vs Lesner gets the winner of JDS vs. Nelson.... Can you imagine if by some miracle Nelson won both fights... Nelson the UFC heavy weight champ
dajogejr
Hey...we had Tim Sylvia as the HW champ...so anything can happen...
SLORYDER
if carwin improves his cardino to last more than a round, he will be a great fighter. i was rooting for carwin, but once lesner didn't get TKO in the first and carwin didn't come out with a great punch in the second it was lesner's fight. I think his cardio is fine.. When you weigh 265 all muscle and you exert yourself in the way carwin did you are just gonna gas yourself out bottom line. Your lungs can only absorb so much oxygen and when you are that big it takes up alot. As said before, he should've let Lesnar get up and started teeing off again while he was still dazed. Fricking guy has a killer instinct like no other though, which was his double edged sword.
dajogejr
Off topic a little but somewhere I read Lesnar came in ready to fight at 265...whereas Carwin walks around at 290 and has to cut to 265. Which seems odd...because Lesnar just looks "Bigger" than Carwin. If I'm not mistaken, Carwin actually has bigger hands than Brocks as well... Carwin and lesnar have the exact same sized upper bdy, same sized arms; Carwins lower body is considerably bigger. I believe Carwin wears two glove sizes bigger than Lesnar. Lesnar looks bigger because his neck is thicker You can see their similar size here http://116.ufc.com/
dajogejr
Fuckin' A....you're dead on right with that one....
theshee
carwin said he didnt have a cardio problem, said between rounds he cramped up, lower body was complely cramped up. Look and brocks lower body, you can see the weight difference between the two of them there, carwin has huge legs, brock does not.

locogato11283
Anyone who thinks that Carwin doesn't have a cardio problem is fooling themselves. He CLEARLY has a cardio problem. He has never been out of the first round. How do you even game plan for going past the first round if you've never experienced it. They say that the training is the hardest part of the fight, but clearly Carwin never anticipated going out of the first round. He flat out gassed himself out. To think anything else is ridiculous. I called this fight from the beginning. I said that if it went out of the first round that Carwin would lose and he did. I knew he would gas. You you honestly think Carwins trainers totally neglected to train him for a 5 round fight??? If he would have paced himself, he wouldn't have gassed. You jump on top of someone and try to flatten their skull with every ounce of your energy for 3 or 4 minutes straight. That's like a 3 or 4 minute sprint. Then imagine if you were Carwins size. ANYONE would gas fighting at that pace at that size. I don't think it was his cardio that was lacking. I think it was his presence of mind to tell him to slow it down. theshee
im not trying to defend his cardio... just going by what i read vs. make my own assumption. http://www.mmanews.com/news/88316
Michael Jackson
i think a lot of it is obviously mental at that point you have the heavyweight champion of the world down on the ground pounding him out.. seconds away from stoppage if you just land a few more clean shots i would have punched myself out too
