87sheerips
CPI. In my personal racing experience that is what I have to go from.

- DUNNY -
Great info. The fact that they come on sooner or just as soon as CPI might point me towards them. That is what I like to hear. Is Tom the only place to get them? Directly through him? How do they mount up? Any trouble with them hitting the frame under the seat or leaking anywhere? i have both the regular rockets, the first set of r2's design ( the stinger was welded to the rear silencer) and the latest r2's that has a o-ring design seal in the silencer for adjustability. both r2 sets fit great, and was some of the easiest pipes to bolt on. i havent had a leaking issue either. pabansheematt
Trey. Does this mean I'm going to see a rocket fly up the Glenburn?

camatv
have one of your friends swap you out for the day and try the cpi's vs your trinity's i can say this now that i have a set of the most recent trinity's they are my now favorite all around pipe. i know trinity sucks but you just can't say 80's~ HP and 55's in tq on a 421 stock cylinder gas motor is weak. its a beast down low and rev's very very hard. i have some cpi's i might throw them on. but the trin's fit very nice, have bad ass silencers ( billet mounts oh yea) and stingers are double o-ring flange ( no ugly pipe sealing crappola's) as well as main pipe to cylinder flange. other than that screw trinity tho
xXBlessedWithDeathXx
if all works well i`ll be getting a new set of CPI`s. I was offered $400 for my set the other day so i`m also reading a lot on whats out there. i`m just not sure if i should stay chrome or flat black. moflicky
go with rocket R-2's Waaaayyyyy better i have a friend with cpi's they dont exite me, i like the sound of r2 pipes and better top end than cpi, just my opinion. nothing against cpi pipes they are great pipes too, i would just rather have rockets, if i had the extra money!!!lol Edited July 31, 2010 by moflicky
Burt Reynolds
Im curious as to why you would turn away from a pipe you know and love.
ELKARACING_SHEE
I have experience with all three pipes. I had an old 4mm stock cylinder motor that the builder claimed CPI would make the most power. In fact it did not. The Rocket's made more power and torque. I ran my Rockets on 4mm stock cylinder motor, 4mm cub and my 10mm cub. They performed well on all three. When Tom first designed the R-2's 4 or 5 years ago he sent me a set to test on my 10mm cub. I ran them back to back with my Rockets. The R-2's had more top end and just about the same bottom and mid-range. I was pretty impressed with how well they revved out. I was going to buy a set from him but he put the project on hold. Fast forward to now and here they are. I think all three pipes are good and would probably be fine for your setup. My choices for your setup would be Rockets, R-2's and then CPI. I really believe there is not a ton of difference between the Rockets and R-2's so I don't think you can go wrong with either. I have never been a fan of how the CPI look or sound, which I know is petty, but when I found the Rockets made better power on that particular stock cylinder 4mm motor, I didn't hesitate in running them. thanks tyler, i learned something new right now. Alot of people keep saying that the CPI's with the cascade silencers i have on my stock cylinder 4 mil are the best. I have the old style of rockets that tom built as well. I am going to give it a try with the rockets on it. But do you think that the rockets on my 4 mil will perform much better than the CPI's with the cascade silencers? i will give them a try
