I'm running the same carbs, on a stock stroke 4 mil, with CPI's, porting, and pods.  I'm running a 300 main, and I can't remember what size pilot.  I think the 34's are going to be too much carb for your setup.  Try some 28mm, or 30mm carbs.

ok cool

so when would i need to go to 34mm carbs ?

what determines going to a bigger carb

and what are pods

thx

Pods, are K&N clamp on filters.  You use them when you ditch the air box.  You really won't need the 34's, until you go to a stroker crank, and in frame drag pipes.

thanks for your help

will the 34s work fine or are really not the right carb at all i have them with intake and pods didn't pay any thing got them from a friend , my stock carbs are in bad condition the threads on the slide caps are stripped and need to be replaced

it has a noss cool head and im going to put 19cc domes in and run race gas , i run 50/50 now

They will probably be tough to get dialed in, since they are really more than you need, but they'll work.  I'm not sure where you'll want to start jetting wise.

so i will get more performance out of 28-30mm carbs

thanks Fast you have been a great help!!!
