Coolant was empty, I noticed the white stuff coming out the crank overflow dripping everywhere, hasnt been happening long I dont think because i haven't seen it on the shop floor. put water in and it was hot but i dont *think* i overheated it very short ride. X2, got my seals off ebay from a vintage cycle shop in Nebraska. spurdy Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 What water pump you running? Sometimes cheap after market billet water pumps have shitty shafts. The seal wears a groove in the shaft and that is what leaks. Good seal and all but the shaft is the problem. Just make sure while you have it apart that the shaft isn't grooved. zachmw Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 If its not the pump seal, take the clutch cover off there is a pipe that runs through the case that has a O-ring on it, if that goes bad it will leak coolant into the tranny.
