WannaBeeRider Posted June 13, 2010 Report Share Posted June 13, 2010 ok well im buying a banshee. and i had some durability questions about the shee's. are they good trail quads with just pipes bored over 1mm, port polish, +4 timing, stock carbs, t5 pipes? if i maintain my motor use klotz 32:1 racing mix, gearsaver 85W and a good foam filter will my motor last? will the tranny too? im in the market for a fast durable quad. im ether getting a z400 or a banshee. and if i go with the z400 i plan on rebuilding it maby once every 3 years? iv grow up around the 2-smokes. i have a trx250r right now and im parting her out cause its a pice of shit and all the bearings are shot. motors brand new tho lol./ also what are the best front shock;s that requier no mods for 450$ new? do banshees feel tipsy? any other tips for me? all help aprestiated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

overrevtricky Posted June 13, 2010 Report Share Posted June 13, 2010 My setup below is a trail killer. Lots of times even overboard thanks to the head. When I was running with those mods minus the head it was awesome, but even in really tight stuff it can get shaky. Can't tell u what durability is like, as I just rebuilt, but I have seen alot of guys on here say 3-7 years on a top-end. If you start out with a sound machine and take care of it it will take care of you, on the other hand if you purchase some piece of shit that has bandaids all over the place you'll be wrenching more then riding. midlifecrisis Posted June 14, 2010 Report Share Posted June 14, 2010 My buddies just rebuilding his 06 ltr 450 top end, and its costing him around $3000, maybe more, ask alf, hes supplied the parts, on the other hand, Im rebuilding my shee, and for the topend your looking at around $500, even if you do it every year, you do the math!
