Thinking of testing a new spark plug

Recommended Posts

Seems our banshees share the NGK BR8ES plug with mitsubishi's 91 galant and 02-04 Lancer. I came across a spark plug company with a new kind of plug design catch my eye recently. Don't know if anyone heard of them but there called HALO spark plugs. I am kinda interested to test them out in the banshee, Got a set for my car and have no complaints but have nothing to brag about either since I don't have any equipment to test any actual differences as they claim. The actual design that they point out does have some good points but then again could just be equivilant to snake oil, did alittle cross research and used the lancer as referance for the banshee and they sell this which is equal,

Damn interesting. Youtube and there site has a few videos of these plugs, Interesting claims if you read there site. I always like testing new stuff. Thought I share, NGK is a good plug but hell why not? Once I get 4 of them i'll post a follow up for the hell of it. Anyone here use them in any of there toys?

Banshees do not run br8es spark plugs they run b8es plugs. The r in br8es stands for resistor plugs. I have tried different plugs and with some have put a hole in the top of the piston which was a new top end. Stick with the b8es plugs and concentrate on other areas to gain power.

Thank you for the clarification. I have no idea why the yuppie idioit that sold me my banshee is running br8es in it and gave me 2 new ones also, I thought that was the normal plug and never bothered to actually check. I will go out and get the the correct plugs ASAP. I still got alot to learn about this quad yet I guess.

Sorry, In defense to myself so I don't look like an idioit again like my oil topic, Perhaps why the br8es plugs were used is it seems my igniton coil says DYNA on it and I did alittle looking around and seems its aftermarket and also people do use the br8es HQ actually has a topic which just answered my question. As for me not liking the seller I got my shee from thats another story.

I use the br8eix platinum plugs. More expensive but i can run one set all year. Easier starting and just plain ol great plug. I got everyone in our group to switch to them after they all tried them. They swore by another plug to. Cant remember what one. You cant go wrong with the b8es, but ive never looked back after going to the br8eix platinums.

looks like another obtrusive plug to me....i have thought about the design of a ring electrode for years, and the only answer i could find was to make it really thin to be reliable, and still open, but eh............i run denso irridiums, if you want to try that, too........i swear, i should have fouled these things out several times.....let me remember........iw24?

I figured snake oil, Speaking of yuppie idioit, How does putting a dyna sticker on I think is a stock CDI sound? Somthing did not look right about my CDI and the label since I could not find the exact model and sure enough I peel back the sticker and it says denso under it. I am going to give the platniums a try, Can't go wrong with a rare metal that was once radioactive "iridium-192". I truley wish they would have made them firestorm plugs. They looked the most impressive out of all the other BS.

iridiums seem to be the way to go. i run the E3 diamond fires in my turbocharged car and they last alot longer than standard plugs. they dont make them for the banshee yet.

Yeah I was looking at them E3's. What country they made in? I buy anything as long as there not from china. The E3 is very similar to the halo.

I made a mistake on my last post, When I said platnium I meant I am going to try the iridium plugs, I seem to be fouling out my right plug to often and I can tell my right pipe smokes more then the left, Time for a tuneup on the jets I guess.
