im going through the same shit right now. My stator tested fine and so did the coil..i even swapped a coil. If you have a ohm meter, go and test your key switch and the kill switch. test the coil, check all the wiring and then the last thing it could be is the cdi box. if your coil is bad, i have one i can send you and you can try it. i have a cdi and a stator on the way now. if ya know anyone close by with the same plug-type cdi, swap em out and see if it fires.

my bike wont start put new stator in it and still no fire at all, this sux . help!

Did you loose a ground? Do you have TORS installed on the bike? Ohm everything and work your way back from them. You will not be able to Ohm the CDI it is solidstate.

Check your pick up coil. When you put the sator on you may have bumped it. Spin the flywheel till one of the knubs is inline with the pick up coil and use a buisness card or a machbox cover to set the gap. I had the same problem on my last banshee. I reset the pick up coil distance and fire right up. If the pick up coil can't pick up the position of the flywheel theres no spark and that sux.

x2 on pick up gap.did u have spark before u changed the stator or ur old one just lost spark and u bought a new one?tors brain will do that.make sure ur connections are tight,i would imagine u have the woodruff key in there and the flywheel is on correctly and tight.grab ur manual or look thru stickies and do resistance/ohm checks on at least stator first and go from there.

i dont know anybody that has one , i only put a new stator on it because my buddy todd said when he was testing it he was getting crazy ohms readings

believe it or not when i just tryed to adjust the gap the plate itself just broke!!!!!! i had spark until my buddy tested my stator , he said it was giving off some crazy ohms readings , and since then nothing so i figured along with him it was the stator cause when i pulled the side plastic off it was completely full of water , so i replaced it and still i have nothing

Its a large thin block that is on top of your carbs, there will be wires leading into it. As far as a tester goes, I use a Fluke, but you might try a Craftsman. If you still cant get it running later you can give me a call. My number is listed on my profile.

I would suggest billit timing plate from site sponser. Then you can go +4* and gain couple ponies right there, gotta buy one anyways. Also get Clymers manual, bouy $30. Do search for tors, you can either eliminate (cut wires) or comepletly remove (little more work involved) Lotta peeps here to help you. You'll even learn how to adjust your chain, LOL .

what does the tors box do ?

with the tors hooked up,one second u have spark, the next u dont.even if your tors assemblies are still on ur carb tops,u need to disconnect the brain.at least disconnect the brain and check again for spark.it is located on the drivers side (lol) up underneath where your left top header pipe mount is.i believe there is 1 bolt holding it and 2 wires going to it.just unplug it at least, and give her a kick.
