Slipping clutch

Recommended Posts

does your perch have some free play to it? if there is no free play then you prollly just need adjustment. make sure you can pull in on the lever a half inch or so before you feel resistance. tusk is a pretty good clutch i wouldnt hesitate to run one unless its a higher power motor

make sure you read your Clymers on how to adjust the clutch before putting on the cover. If you dont you will have to take the cover off again and adjust it. if you are new to working on banshee's, nitronate has a good video for working on shee's.

i would say check the oil. if it started slipping are the oil change then that might be the cause. should have used ATF. some oils have friction modifiers in them and they are not good for a clutch.

he used the amsoil 4 stroke oil for wet clutches should be ok, I've used that with no problem
