Shaved and Milled head?

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about having my head shaved and milled versus buying an aftermarket cool head to try and keep a stock look on my bike. Does anybody out there know what the dimensions are that i could use for the mill job???? Or would it just be wiser to go ahead and buy a cool head?

I believe the general consensus on a stock bike with stock gaskets is .025" to .030" off the head.

Check your squish first though to make sure it has never been milled.

If you are not going for bling no it would not be wise to get the coolhead imo

X2 Check your squish first. If you dont know how there is a few vids on you tube on how to do it. You should check with one of the site sponsors. I know that Mull Engineering Does it pretty cheap and they re chamber it.
