Aftermarket CDI

Recommended Posts

If you need a CDI box stay with the factory unit or go with a DYNA unit. Most everything else out there is unreliable crap. I had to buy a Rick's Electrics CDI box when I went to St Anthonys 2 years ago because it was the only thing I could get while I was there. When I came home it failed with less than 10 hours on the bike/box. They did warranty it but I now just carry it for a spare.

I've been running an MSD CDI box for a close to 10 years, and the only problem I've had, is the coil finally quit. So, to whomever said the others, but Dynatech, are unreliable junk, is full of shit.

Yes, the MSD box is good also, just like most MSD stuff. But you have to use the battery or add the extra wiring to run it so it is not plug and play.
