MasterBlaster Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 ok what do you guys think about a carb sync tool...how do they work?, Where could I buy one?,etc Quote
Glamis321 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 FAST Racing sells them on their website Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I love mine. Got it at Fast. I synced my buddies carbs today. One carb was barely going, despite the fact he thought he was tuned. They are a must have, literally. Well worth the dollar. Quote
TNTS355 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 If you own something with more than one carb it is a MUST!!!! Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted May 24, 2010 Report Posted May 24, 2010 I agree with them 110%. It doesn't matter how good you think your eyes are, you can be assured that one carb is set different than the other one. The carb synch tool is great, and it's very easy to use, plus it takes all the guess work out of adjusting the carbs. Quote
Powerstroke Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 How does a sync tool work? Like whats all involved in doing it There is a real good how to pinned in the video section. Quote
fastbanshee8 Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 (edited) It's just a vacuum gauge. Edited May 25, 2010 by fastbanshee8 Quote
GrMeyer Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 best money spent to know you have your carbs working together! Quote
wacko2000 Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Def buy one, you'll be glad you did worth every penny, only way to get your carbs perfect Quote
camatv Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 its a VW webber sync tool you may be able to find it at any vw performance/ buggy shop for about 35-40 bucks. OR even order one from EMPI. its called a squirrel cage synch tool there are other types out there but that one is the easiest to use on our types of atv's ( banshee's) it measures the intake velocity/ flow and enables you to set the carbs to the same set the idle then you can set the synch of the cable.. very neato. FASTOYS Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 as said before and ours comes with the smaller adaptor for stock or small carbs: http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59 Quote
evro Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 worth every penny. like some of the others here, i thought i was tuned fairly well but when i got the gauge (from FAST) and used it, i found out exactly how far off "close" was. there are enough intake adapters that it will work on all my other toys as well. some will say "save the money", i say "consider it a cheap insurance policy"......
